WordPress Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). Anything that brings together 2 or more people to share their WordPress experiences counts.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The difference between meetups and WordCamps are:<\/p>\n

- Meetups are more frequent.<\/li>\n
- The attendees are in smaller groups where you can spend more time getting to know people and grow your WP network.<\/li>\n
- There are a variety of talks every time.<\/li>\n
- You can also share your knowledge to others by speaking, without the pressure of doing it in front of an assembly of 300 people.<\/li>\n
- Meetups take a few of hours after work or on a weekend instead of a whole day.<\/li>\n
- The location can change so it can be closer to your home or office!<\/li>\n
- It’s fun to volunteer for smaller events too!<\/li>\n
