All About Tickets

How do I get tickets?
You’ll need a Paypal account or credit card to purchase tickets. If you don’t have one of those, you can go to PayMaya.com and create a virtual card, then load it in 7-11 stores.

Tickets were available at our Tickets page until Aug 31. WordCamp tickets have SOLD OUT!

What will the ticket include?
Your PH₱700 ticket includes a full day of excellent WordPress talks, lunch, snacks and drinks, a t-shirt, and WordPress swag.

Can I get a receipt?
Yes. When you registered, you would have been sent a Paypal receipt. If this is not enough, send us a message at manila@wordcamp.org and we can send you a ticket purchase receipt via email. Please note that all funds are coursed through the global WordCamp Community Support, so this is not the typical Official Receipt in the Philippines.

Do I need to print my ticket?
Please don’t! 🙂 When you get to the venue, present the email on your phone along with a valid ID and we’ll give you your event badge.

Will you accept walk-ins?
WordCamp tickets are SOLD OUT so I’m afraid that we cannot accept walk-ins. You can sign up for the waitlist to be notified if slots open up. Please note: signing up for the waitlist does NOT guarantee entry!

I wasn’t able to get a ticket! What do I do?
You can follow along by following @WordCampManila on Twitter and watching the official hashtag #WCMNL2018 and #WCMNL. Watch out for the videos at WordCamp.TV, join the meetups, and make sure you follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram so that you won’t miss out next year!

Preparing for the WordCamp

What should I bring?

  1. Valid ID. Registration starts at 7:45AM! No need to print your tickets, but be sure to bring a valid ID.
  2. Internet. To ensure that you have fast, uninterrupted internet connection, we strongly advise attendees to bring their own wireless internet connection. We’ve found that SMART LTE is the most reliable provider in this particular location.
  3. Your own laptop. If you are attending the workshop for beginners or plan to take notes using your laptop, be sure to bring your own fully powered laptop. Please note that we have limited tables, so come early if you’re using a laptop, or bring a good ol’ paper notebook instead.
  4. Extension cords. Power outlets are limited in the main Auditorium and are only available at the sides for safety reasons. You can bring your own extension cords if they want your devices continuously powered up.

Will there be parking?
The building’s parking is limited and is reserved for iAcadmy staff, so we advise folks to use the pay parking at Cash and Carry then walk to iAcademy Nexus. You can als grab a cab to the venue instead.

What’s the program?
Check out the schedule page!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Please dress appropriately, since our venue is an excellent school building. Your fave shirt and jeans will be your best bet. These are not allowed at the venue: plunging necklines, sleeveless shirts and sando, see-through clothing, graphic tops with inappropriate messages, shorts, slippers, and sandals. As a sign of respect, please do not wear caps and hats inside the rooms.

What should I do at the WordCamp?

  1. Always wear your WordCamp Badge. For security and as a general rule, always wear your WordCamp badge when inside the event venue.
  2. Be mindful of our WordCamp Code of Conduct. All attendees are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct to ensure a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all.
  3. Have fun!  WordCamps are a celebration of the WordPress community. So make sure to mingle and interact with your fellow attendees. And be sure to say hi to the volunteers and organizers!
